be heavily invested in. Think of how much energy is already saved by LED TVs and computer monitors. The prices on those things have come way down. I bought the first generation 19" LED monitor from ViewSonic several years back for $4000. It had several non-working pixels which was normal and expected at the time. In many ways, the picture was not as good as a CRT monitor. I bought an HP 19" LED monitor last year at Walmart for under $300. The HP's resolution is higher, the picture sharper and brighter with a much improved usable viewing angle over that old ViewSonic. And every single pixel works. The picture is better than any CRT monitor. I am really looking forward to the research guys coming up with affordable 120-V LED bulbs that will replace the compact fluorescents.
