Many thanks to you and to soooright for keeping it civil per my request. I'm inclined to agree with you guys for the most part. I guess that makes me not so liberal on this issue.

The one thing that concerns me, however, is the issue of kids who came here with their parents and end up penalized for what they did. A toddler could not reasonably be expected to realize that he's breaking the law when his parents sneak him over the border. Then years later, that kid can find himself deported from what essentially is his home country to a foreign country. Imagine if you had been born in Mexico and came here when you were two and English is now your native language and you don't even really speak Spanish and now you find yourself sent to Mexico and expected to somehow find a job and make a living there. I don't see how you could do it. I was wondering if you think we should cut such a person some slack. We could still be tough on adults who knowingly break our immigration laws.
