When they will say something like this in defense of the illegals: "Look, they are peaceful, law-abiding, hard-working citizens just trying to live the American Dream." If it is pointed out to the lefty that an illegal alien is neither law-abiding nor a citizen, then the lefty simply changes the subject. I'm basing this on several interviews of Latino-rights advocates that I have seen on TV.
