Subject:	illegal immigration: honest opinions wanted

My first request of you is to please be civil if you write about this topic. It's one that makes tempers flare. To be honest, I feel very ambivalent about it. On the one hand, people shouldn't be illegally sneaking into the country and the border is a chaotic place. And there's a real threat of terrorists using the migrant worker traffic to slip into the country. There is a danger. I'm inclined to think we need to do whatever it takes to secure our borders.

On the other hand, there are cases in which someone's parents brought their kid here illegally with them when he's very young, like maybe two years old. Then years later when the kid is 18 or older, he could get deported to what is essentially a foreign country to him. I don't think any reasonable person could hold a two year-old responsible for coming here illegally as if a toddler should speak up and say, "Mommy, Daddy, you're breaking the law."

Please give your honest opinions, and I implore you once again to be civil. I think part of the problem is the issue can't be discussed without people blowing up in a rage.
