No. General Hayden's comments regarding the press undermining our efforts applies as well to the elements in our society who oppose intelligence collection activities that could help head off another 9/11;the same people who prefer to believe the U.S. is wrong, no matter what it does; and the same people whose warped view allows them to believe 9/11 was directed from the highest levels of our own government.
I don't have enough information to make an informed recommendation regarding what to do about the training camps in Pakistan; but you can bet we know where they are; and given the right set of circumstances, they will be dealt with.
