Sorry this ended up long, but it is a difficult subject to try to tackle in one lifetime, much less one post.

I actually do understand where you are coming from. Been there done that. You will not repent of every single sin you have ever committed before you die. You might get 99.99999% but you will miss one. According to you, that is all it takes, because His grace is not sufficient for you. As you condemn others you condemn yourself.

I do indeed believe in sin. I also believe in grace. I will not condemn anyone to hell. That is (thankfully) not my job. My job is to love God and my neighbor. I am not very good at either one, but it is a good job to have so I think I will keep it.

Try this for me. Read Romans 1. You probably have already, Most of us have. I know I have read it over and over and over during discussions of the place of homosexuals in the Church. Verses 26&27 come up a lot. Always out of context because Romans was not written with chapter marks!. So with that in mind read Romans 1 and continue on and read Romans 2:1 then stop and think. You might want to spend some time with the first half of Romans 2, but for now, just read 1 then stop after 2:1 so that you don't miss the point he is making. (If you really want to go ahead and finish the paragraph.)

Does sin exist? You betcha. Should we go ahead and sin because we know we are forgiven? Not by my book. Should we be God's "Sin Scorekeepers"? I really really don't want that job.
