Sin cannot be forgiven unless the sinner asks for that forgiveness with a contrite heart and truly repents. Too many sinners just shrug off their behavior with a glib, "Well, Jesus forgives me." There will be very few souls in Heaven thanks to the feel-good-without-being-good liberal doctrine. I once heard a great preacher say something that you are sure to disagree with. This is not an exact quote, but it was something to the effect that a sermon isn't much good unless the sinners leave the sanctuary with their tails between their legs.
