I think they'll rename the board The Millie And Razz board and that we'll get to make up our own rules, don't you? LOL I'm in blue below.....

Oh! so you have been around too. I honestly can't keep up with time, and am shocked when I find out how fast it has zipped by! In fact, just let me say that it has gone by much faster for me, as I am a good decade beyond you. heh Oh, how are your bones holding up? LOL Mine are sore right now. I've been eating better since Christmas and starting tomorrow I'm going to move more. My goal is to be able to get up off of the couch when I'm 90 - all by myself!!

I have been sitting here downloading into my iPod, yadda yadda.... and surfing whilst I'm doing it. Also, watching the snow come down, and the birds and squirrels outside in the woodshed. iPod? Snow? I have neither. Dumb question: do songs have to be downloaded from the net into an iPod or are there other ways? We're in short sleeves here right now - have you been snowed or iced in like many areas?

Well, I have to say that I found the hatred very offensive, so didn't post here much, but most of those who did post, I would call them my friends (mostly all gone). There was an atmosphere of respect and friendship for one another back then, even in here. And in that way, you could just not click on those with the exceptional hate or foul language. Yes, that's what I remember. It bothers me a lot that our country is so divided unnecessarily.

Now, it seems that if one posts something that isn't in lockstep agreement with what is going on in the Pub, then you are automatically labeled (mostly as a right wingnut). No one bothers to listen to what you have to say though, because it seems as if they are so rabid to prove their point, and shoot down anything that the present administration is doing wrong, as well as any poster whom they assume are in the same dumpster that they have thrown everyone who isn't idolizing their great wit and wisdom. So, we've come a long ways bab-bee... on these boards. But who knows? Maybe people can find the heart somewhere to listen and communicate to others, and stop protecting their self inflated egos long enough to find that there are other things in the world besides winning arguments. I am as much in need of that virtue as anyone I must admit! Especially in some areas. I've just started reading Get Out Of That Pit by Beth Moore and I'm hoping that it will be of some help to me in this area among others. And, I do appreciate the link that you left for me and sooooooooosomething over at the Pub - I know that you left it with the right intentions. I'll tell you one truth - and I'm not trying to excuse myself - but I used to walk gingerly around political topics and add many disclaimers to make sure that I didn't step on toes UNTIL several Christian Homeschool moms followed suit with the rabid-right and were very blunt letting us know that we were unpatriotic, unChristian, and unAmerican for not backing Bush in all of his decisions. I couldn't believe it at the time and have learned to speak boldly myself since.

"All you need is la la la....." Lalalala....!!

Sorry, got carried away there. Anyway, that's my take on it. I have hope for the world, and our country. I believe that it's going to get a whole lot worse however, before it gets better. In other words, the polarization is going to be more defined. But I do not want to play that game, I refuse, and am free to not do it. And if people want to label me, that's their problem. I really don't wear labels well, at all. I even rather dislike the term "Christian" because of the way it has been used. I've been there, done that, and it didn't work. I was a hippie, did the rebellion..... etc. I think that this upcoming generation is going to do great things. But they need to let go of all the hatred that our generation has... and move out of the mold, without throwing away the baby with the bathwater (Jesus with the religion). And in my particular mission to cooperate; that baby is the One Who came to bring peace on earth, and He has (and is today) clearly taught how to do it. That was very well put. Question: Do you see yourself becoming more conservative, then, as you age? I've been told that I would have been a great hippie! LOL And, I see myself getting more liberal (and not 'liberal' as is defined in today's political arena but the real definition).

And one more thing.... I do not think that politics is the savior of our world, not Democrate nor Republican. Like the movie stars who think that the world revolves around them, most of our politicians seem to think that they are very high and lifted up. HA! Right on! I agree. I told someone not long ago, I probably would never have become politically active (although I would have been politically interested) had not my patriotism, Christianity, and Americanism been questioned. I have never in my life seen such divide. Hopefully, you are correct and our kids will do better.
