This is the most isolated president I can recall. He is totally divorced from the world around him. To hear him tell it,

++ He was genuinely surprised that Miers wasn't embraced as a brilliant choice.

++ He was equally surprised to learn people were dying in Louisiana, days after all of us knew and were horrified by it.

++ He was astonished to learn Iraq wasn't about to drop the big one on the White House

He has said in interviews that he doesn't read newspapers or watch the news. He relies on the people around him. Is it this isolation that makes him the most clueless man in America?

Or is he just a big fat liar?
