none of us know what will be the situation in 16 months. It is a great goal to try to be out of Iraq in 16 months. I wish we were out now. And a simple bystander can afford to say, yeah, I'd get us out....( fill in the blank). But a leader has to recognize that there are many factors to consider. My point, which you missed, was that that is easy for Obama to "say", I will get the troops out in 16 months. What is the plan? What factors does his plan depend on? Bart, you are too old to believe a politician is going to be able to do what he says regardless of what can change in the future. Don't blindly follow Obama. Make sure you have some good reasons to do so. Just because you hate Bush, you might pick someone even worse. Both sides are counting on the people to stay so polarized that they are going to get a free pass. Look at Congress.
