Subject:         Personal Trainer questions?

Hi,

I need some basic info on personal trainers. I talked to one a couple of months ago, she works through the wellness center here at work... I explained my dilemma, my needs, the problems I've had in the past (extensive), etc. And I asked her what her advice was. She didn't have any. I sort of was "reading between the lines" a little, and came to a couple of conclusions - either she was just plain stupid, or else, there's some sort of informal gag rule that limits what a personal trainer can suggest that is *not* associated with the gym they work at.

What I really need, if I go the route of getting a personal trainer, is someone who will totally think outside the box and won't just push me into the first fitness class that has empty slots, and will also be able to recommend a class or activity anywhere in town, not just stuff available at "their" gym.

How would I go about finding such a person? Also, any idea of what I can expect to pay?

RS
