Subject: Stomach Exercises

I have been doing crunch's, and sit-ups on an exercise ball for months now and cannot lose the flab around my waist. I know it is bad for me. Are there any physical exercises that really work? Maybe I'm doing the exercises incorrectly. Can anyone help?
