Yes. I have had the same issues. Mine was placed in Feb. '07. Since then I had my first diagnosed case of vaginosis a month later! Once in October and my third just this week!!!! Other issues I have endured are frequent UTI's, yeast infections and regular spotting after intercourse poss. due to the strings. I love the idea of being safe from pregnancy and the option of being spontaneous however it is extremely frustrating. I'm thinking of having it removed and going back on the pill. I don't want to, however I am sick of living in fear of what will come next. Not to mention that when I go to get prescriptions filled it's the same, good-looking, young pharmacist who must think that I'm the most diseased woman on planet earth. It is sooooo embarrassing! I feel for anyone who suffers like this....if anyone has had nothing but good from an IUD I am happy for you. The theory is great, it's just not for everyone.
