Subject:	thinking about getting Paraguard

I am a 24 year old woman who is trying to get off hormonal birth control. Both my GP and my OB-GYN think Paraguard is a good option for me. I don't have children, and don't want them for a considerable amount of time (at least 3-5 years).

I am currently taking Yaz and it's all right, but I don't enjoy the nausea/decreased sex drive/vaginal dryness - and all the other varied side effects - that come with hormonal bc. I want a better option. I've been on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo in the past, and several years ago I was on Depo briefly, which was one of the worst experiences of my life.

Please share any advice or experiences!
