Age shouldn't be a problem. My clinician tells me all the stuff about not being able to use an IUD if you're young or never had a kid is all old science and new studies show them to be totally safe and acceptable for all ages and for women who have never had a baby. Talk to your doctor or a clinician though. Planned Parenthood is an amazing resource. I can even get a free IUD through them at my income level (college student on minimum wage).
