I've had mine for a year and had terrible cramping, heavy periods and thick discharge. I've never been pregnant, but the pill gave me terrible headaches, so I tried the IUD. All in all, I'm happy. Things got a little better after several months, but my periods are still pretty bad...no more headaches! Good luck
