I'm glad you are able to associate the dairy with your pcos. I am vegan and also have pcos. After being veg for four years, and been vegan for 7 months I notice a huge difference. The cysts and tumors were large enough to cause pain, and were agitated by my lactose intolerance. Nearly everyone is lactose intolerant, and I did'nt know I was, until I stopped eating cow milk and cheese! Another factor is the growth hormones, AND the natural estrogen that is in all dairy products. This tinkers with your menstrual cycle and causes you to produce varying degrees of estrorgen, testosterone etc... Even "organic" milk and cheese contain hormones, because those products come from lactating female cows. By drinking soymilk and eating soy products, the natural phyto-estrogens actually help to regulate your hormones and keep stray estrogen in check. My testosterone went way down, and my estrogen level decreased slightly when I went vegan. I now have very little pain and with the addition of " Alpha Lipoic Acid and Biotin" my pcos is not nearly as bothersome. I still have trouble with my insulin resistance, but eating fewer carbohydrates, and using splenda instead of sugar really helps. Good luck
