this could be a series of different things.depending age between 45 and 55 i would say menopause it can switch things up a bit . if not brown colored blood is a indication of old blood and that isnt good. other could be are you breast feeding? like i said series of things you can always call your dr office and ask the advice nurse. another do you have a iud.if the bleeding is not heavy and only occurs occasionally its probably normal.call if : accompanied by pain fever cramping. chaning a maxi more than an hour. if bleeding between periods last more that 10 days in a row or occurs three months in a row. after intercourse. and if you are over 35 and have bleeding between periods or prolonge bleeding with periods. hope this helps 'yes it is normal to have irregular periods if not taking birth control or stopping and or changing. your body has to recognize the change and the different pills have there own effects.
