Also, I've never used any extra protection during the placebo pill time; you shouldn't have to if you've been taking the pill properly (unless you're on anti-biotics, certain types of which can interfere with the efficacy of bc).

If you have trouble with condoms, maybe try a different brand, or try them with some lube (make sure it is okay to use with a condom first!) - there are special ones out there for that.
