YES they do contain gluten. Spelt is higher in gluten than regular wheat. Rye is lower in gluten but it is still in there. Rice, kamut, buckwheat can all be made into breads with no gluten...two great sites for this kinda information is www.gfcfdiet.com (means gluten free casien (milk protein) free.
