I did enough research online to find out that TITANIUM coated is actually "titanium Teflon" coating. Polished stainless steel is COMPLETELY different! Anything called non-stick coating is a Teflon related product. Zojirushi Model NS-ZAC 18 "Neuro Fuzzy" $188.99 says "durable non-stick coating" and picture looks to be Teflon National Panasonic SR-MM18NW Neuro Fuzzy Rice Cooker $142 says: I can't find description of Tiger's liner pan but given that they do NOT say that it is stainless steel I would doubt that it is stainless steel. It seems that Teflon-type coatings are in the higher end products and some Teflon and some plain aluminum are in the lower end products. The ONLY stainless steel pan is have found is in the Miracle Rice Cooker which by the way is out of stock until early April since they called me yesterday to tell me.: http://www.miracleexclusives.com/Miracle_Rice_Cooker.html Check out this website to find out why you do not want to be cooking in Teflon. By the way, I have a brand new rice cooker made by Zujirushi that I am totally in love with that I bought in December. Now that I have read this I plan to replace it with the Miracle. http://www.ewg.org/reports/pfcworld/
