Correct me if I'm wrong cause it's been a while since I've read Dr. McD's books, but he certainly doesn't seem to *encourage* the consumption of animal proudcts on feast days, rather, he permits it if the person chooses to do so ... and he seems to say or imply that feasting is at your own risk. I also think I remember him saying or writing that the optimal amount of animal products in the diet is zero. (Again, please correct me if I'm wrong.) BG P.S. - No offense, John C. but, you really seem to have something against ethical vegans. Why is that? And also, since you've stated umpteen times that you're not an ethical vegan, how can you presume to know what ethical vegans think? (You wrote: "Doing such is absolute unspeakable EVIL to a Vegan!!! Beyond EVIL....") I am an ethical vegan and my bf/partner/man i love is an omni eats (gasp) turkey on Thanksgiving. I do not think he's "evil" for doing so. I think you ahve the WRONG idea about ethical evgans probably because you have never met one in real life. Most of us are reasonable people who care strongly about how animals are treated but nonetheless manage to coexist peacefully with/be friends with/love others whose views differ! Maybe you should make it a project to meet some ethical vegans in your area and maybe even become friends with them. It might expand your horizons. Okay, end rant. And again, I mean no offense by this.
