I got the Cuisinart Duet, which comes with both a blender cup and food processing cup
that both attach to the same base, so that you can do either blending or food processing
using the same motor. The blender still will run when placed on the base, but the food
processor just won't do a thing. The blender is pretty useless to me. Nothing like a vitamix.
I liked the food processor attachment for the few times that it worked. In any case, Vitamix is just light years ahead of any blender I've ever used. I love my
vitamix.
