Hi all! I would first like to start off by giving a huge thanks to everyone that responded to my postings. Your advice and feedback have been very helpful. I am happy to say that I am only 6, yes, SIX pounds away from my goal weight of 172!!! I have never been happier in my whole life! I am so close, that I am starting to get a little impatient, but I havent changed my diet, and have kept myself in check! My cardio has slipped a little, somedays only getting in an hour's worth, but my diet has been consistent with 1,100 calories per day. It's amazing on how filling my breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks have been while staying in the 1,100 calorie range. I really need to buckle down and get back to my hour and a half a day plan so that I can lose these pounds by Christmas. I have been catching myself getting lazy at times! lol Anyway, question for you all. Once I reach 172, my calorie intake for the type of job I have and physical activity I plan to pursue (hour a day, six days a week workouts) is around 2,200 calories. I have read that it would be wise that after being on a 1,100 calorie diet for so long, I should raise my intake by 200 calories per week until I reach 2,200, rather than immediately jump to 2,200 to avoid sending my metabolism into shock. I don't have an issue with this, since I have gotten accustomed to only having 1,100 per day, I just wanted to know if there were any truth behind this?
