It doesn't have to be. Many members of my family took me out for lunch today, to celebrate my birthday. We went to a local Home Town Buffet, and except for a little sugar-free ice cream at the end, it was all vegan. Lots of salad, baked beans, corn on the cob, cooked carrots, cole slaw, and a fruit pie, etc. for desert. That's here in the Toledo area, but they're also in New Jersey, and probably in other states as well. But then there are probably many other such restaurants, not to mention the fine ethnic restaurants where you can get vegan fare. Bon Appetit!
