As planned, we had our dinner out at True Food in Phoenix, followed by a movie (Dear John). True Food was having a valentine special for two where each person could choose one drink, split an appetizer, choose an entrée each, then share a small plate of desserts. For our appetizer we had hummus and pita bread; for the entrée, I selected the tofu and vegetable teriyaki stir fry over brown rice. It was the same thing I had last time, but it was so good, I decided to have it again. The only vegan dessert was a grapefruit sorbet sprinkled with pomegranate seeds, and it was delicious. We had a nice time! The movie was okay. We had wanted to see Edge of Darkness but the start time didn't coincide with our dinner reservations, so we saw Dear John instead. I think it was billed as the best love story since "Love Story", but I just didn't get that moved by it for some reason. It was a pleasant diversion, though. Sue, what a treat from your DH! That sounds so yummy, and fresh from your garden, better yet! Jo, sounds like you had a very productive Valentine's Day, and a easy breezy treat dinner afterwards. I'll bet you're glad the painting is done, that is a gift. Nora, I would love to try your vegan treats, they sound scrumptious! Hope everyone is having a great week! Hugs,
