Last night at work we were short staffed because someone called in sick and I just got called by my DON to see if I could pick up an extra shift today...again, someone called in sick. The schools up here are closed for a week because there's been so much sickness. Fortunately, I rarely get sick but here's a tip everyone knows but I'm going to reiterate it anyway....Wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands! They teach you in nursing that that is THE number one way to prevent infection. Before you touch your face, ask yourself, "Where have these hands been?" Ok, did my good deed for the day!
