Those sculptures are amazing, Echo!! I am in awe over the talent of the artists, and how selfless and Zen they are by creating an ephemeral work of art. It is similar to Buddhist sand mandalas. If the vandals actually spent time with the artists and had to assist them with creating these magnificent sculptures, they would know how much time, detail, effort, skill, and creativity was required, and the vandalism might stop. It is heartbreaking that people would wantonly destroy such beauty. I hope you have a wonderful visit with your son and his father! ~Jo
