This is a very enjoyable series of 17 mystery books featuring former lawyer and herb shop
owner China Bayles. The books are set in the Texas Hill Country and each has a specific
herbal theme. I have been reading Susan Wittig Albert's books for years and greatly enjoy
her writing. The books are amusing and informative. The latest installment, Wormwood,
was just released in April and I am anxiously awaiting my (used) copy from Amazon.

I suggest reading the books in sequence. You can get inexpensive used paperback copies
on Amazon.

Another wonderful series of books is the Elm Street Quilters series by Jennifer Chiaverini.
