...I understood you were recommending their overall natural approach to health and healing. I remember really being drawn to their approach when I first read the book. Later, Marilyn Diamond wrote a cookbook, "The American Vegetarian Cookbook from the Fit for Life Kitchen", which was vegan, and she talks about why they eliminated the animal products from the plan. Still lots of oil, though! :O)

I still have that cookbook, although I don't use it that much any more. At the time, it was one of my first exposures to things like almond milk and other "stedda" food (as she called it), like "stedda" (instead of) chicken, beef, and tuna dishes. I had a lot of fun with this book, and it was a good launching point for me at that time of my life.

Thanks, Echo, for reminding me of all this - I actually might look at some of Marilyn's salad recipes, as I recall, they were pretty good! That is, if it ever warms up around here (I'm currently in northeastern Michigan, and it's been pretty cold!)

Hugs,
Becky
