Thankyou so much for the welcome. Your story reminds me of the thoughtfulness that everyone tries to show me when they make me nongluten food. They don't understand that wheat is wheat no matter what form it comes in, and I cannot eat it without consequences. A dear person thought she was going to make me cookies. Well she got the flour right except she used a ton of real butter and sour cream. I felt so bad when i had to tell her that I cannot eat dairy. It does so many bad things to me, that I cannot even just taste it. She has never baked anything else for me. I often wondered if i should have accepted it and not said anything or if it was better to explain how much i appreciated her effort but dairy is a no no. I don't have an answer for myself. I also cook meat for my hubby, he is 60 years old and will never be talked out of it anyway. He hasn't noticed that i have been steering clear of the meat the last 6 weeks. He may never notice or maybe he has and just hasn't mentioned it. Nice talking to you
