I also loved "Secret Life of Bees". Did you know that "Melissa", Lily's middle name, means "honey bee"? It doesn't say that anywhere in the book, so it's sort of an easter egg. Love stuff like that.

I just finished rereading "Garden Spells" for the second time. Sweet little book.

Books I have going at the moment:
The Demon Lover by Victoria Holt (oldie but goodie)
Pillars of the Earth (found it hard to get into, but am absorbed by it now)

Books I'm planning to read next:
I just ordered a few second hand poetry volumes by Stephen Vincent Benet. His "John Brown's Body" epic poem about the Civil War has been one of my favorites for more than 40 years, so it's about time I read some of his other works.

And another biography about Cynthia Anne Parker. Considering how little is known about her life, it's amazing how much has been written.
