Wow, that's just not good. I can't think of any brilliant advice, but you sure do have my sympathy. How does anyone think that a rodeo is a good setting for a children's health and safety fair? Animal rights aside, consider the dust, the e. coli and salmonella flying through the air. What does watching a bull stomp on someone (or vice versa) have to do with health and safety? Is there some financial incentive for the hospital to hold this at the rodeo grounds? "Marketing opportunity" for whom; the hospital or the rodeo? This seems like a very bad idea on so many fronts. Could you maybe get one of your rodeo-loving coworkers to help you with the coordination of the event in such a way that you wouldn't have to actually be at the rodeo? Maybe somebody would just love to have a reason to be at the rodeo all day?
