Hi ladies, it's been awhile since I visited the Tent ... hope everyone is doing well!

I am in need of advice from my fellow vegans. I coordinate community health events for a large community hospital, which includes an annual health and safety fair for children. We normally host this event on the hospital grounds, but this year my boss came up with (to her mind) the brilliant idea of holding it at our city rodeo grounds - during the week-long rodeo, no less. I was horrified!

My boss knows I'm a long-time vegan and animal rights activist, yet she was astonished when I said I'd have major trouble planning or participating in this event. (Cripes, I've protested the rodeo with our local animal rights group!)

My boss said we'd discuss it later ... but I found out she's sold on the rodeo idea (which she considers a fantastic marketing opportunity) and probably won't change her mind. I am dreading our future conversation, as she believes that people who disagree with her aren't team players, no matter what their personal convictions might be. Unfortunately, I don't have any allies in the department who would sub for me; they are all meat-eaters who think the rodeo is just great.

I would appreciate any suggestions and advice ... short of quitting, which I am financially unable to do at this time (although it's sure tempting).

Many thanks in advance!
