I am a vegan for personal reasons, instead of ethical reasons, but I find many things that I have in common within the tent, so you might try working with the things you have in common with the group. It's still a nice place to be. I'd hate to see you go away. I'm sure that all of us have something we disagree with every other member about, but that's how life is. I can't even agree with my husband of forever about everything, so I don't even expect to agree with anyone else about EVERYthing. My theory is engage when you can, keep silence when you disagree, unless the situation is an invitation to a dialogue. (or unless your vote is being "assumed")And then dialogue with respect and a truly listening ear. I just thought you might want to know. But I haven't noticed any flaming spears coming your way, so maybe the others also engage or keep silence like I do. We seem to be a gentle group of women.
