Isn't World Market a great place to window shop! I love the dishes and have several different salad plates that I found there. Placemats, too.

Thanks for the FYI, which is a problem I'm already aware of. Seems like I don't fit in anywhere, but I guess I should be used to that by now, huh? I have had this discussion (fight?) with people before and it just gets circular and solves nothing. I can say, "Look, I'm not killing anything. Sheep suffer and die if they don't get sheared once a year, and angora rabbits need to have the loose hair combed from their coats or they will swallow it, get wool-block, and die a painful death"; but I know that there are people out there who don't think we should keep any animal companions at all, not even dogs and cats; that it is "cruel". I have a dog and a cat, both rescued strays. Somehow, I think they would both prefer living in my house, sleeping on the furniture, and getting fed wholesome food on a regular basis, to scrounging a living in the wild. And my life is certainly richer because I share it with them. The relationship between humans and domesticated animals is far more symbiotic and complicated than the PETA people are willing to accept, and most of them don't want to have an intellectual discussion about it because, for them, it is a purely emotional issue.

Honestly, I don't want to step on any toes, but I don't want mine stepped on either. So maybe I'd just better go away.
