That's fascinating that you lived in Sacramento for awhile, Anne! I actually lived here all my life before retiring in 2007, and yes, the summers are VERY hot - never liked that about this area. If you ever do decide to take up the RV lifestyle, you will find a lot of organizations that support you. If you want, you can take a look at my blog. I started it the month we retired and have been keeping track of our adventures since then.
