RVing and even bought a book about it last year. My partner Walter and I have tossed

I lived in Sacramento for a few months in my mid-twenties (my then-husband was
stationed at McClelland AFB) and really enjoyed it, especially the old town. I'm sure it's
changed a lot since then. I do recall that it was very hot in the summer.

Best of luck with your cholesterol-lowering efforts. I applaud your ability to cut out caffeine
and oils, and reduce your red wine consumption - sounds like you have a lot of willpower
going for you! Adding in the exercise should help too.

I am trying to cut down on my caffeine intake (from 3 cups a day to 1) and boy, it's hard. I
just LOVE my morning coffee ... About 5 years ago, I quit coffee cold-turkey because I was
having severe breast tenderness during perimenopause. Eliminating caffeine got rid of the
breast pain, and it's never returned, even though I'm drinking coffee again. However I've
read that caffeine can elevate cholesterol in post-menopausal women (aren't we lucky?).
Same with alcohol. I enjoy my vegan organic red wine, but am trying to cut back on that as
well. Argh!

On the one hand, I'm so glad to finally be through menopause ... but I seem to be craving
salt and chocolate even more than before. Am trying to substitute a piece of fruit when the
sugar cravings hit. Haven't yet found a substitute for the salt.
