Jo, I too have been blessed with many wonderful Cappies in my life ... and I'm so happy to
have found the Elders' Tent and the other vegan discussion boards. Most of my vegan
friends have moved away and I've missed having like-minded people to chat with. Northern New Mexico gets a lot of snow in the winter. Although it's considered the "high
desert," the Santa Fe area is surrounded by mountain ranges, and here at 7000 feet the first
snow falls in October and the last snow as late as April or May. The wind howls for months
and sometimes you feel like you'll never get warm again! On that note, I'm off to whip up a hearty green chile stew. Thanks again for the warm
welcome, and have a wonderful birthday tomorrow. Anne
