Thank you, Pat! We went to a Thanksgiving vegan potluck last weekend. About 100 people were there. It was a fundraiser for Tribe of Heart (see link below). I made a spicy Tunisian carrot salad and a Middle Eastern bulgur and chickpea salad. There were a lot traditional and untraditional dishes there -- with that many people, there was quite a variety of food. For the actual day of Thanksgiving, we didn't do much, as our families are dwindling and those who remain are far away. We went for a lovely (cold) walk in the park, enjoyed Middle Eastern food for dinner, watched an interview with Barack Obama that we had taped, and played backgammon. Totally untraditional, but perfectly satisfying. :-) Thanks for asking. Hope all is well with you and you enjoyed your travels! ~Jo
