THANKS! Sometimes one gets the cart before the horse, as my friend seems to doing. It was a "I think I'm going to" "I'm going to" "I did" but oh well, not my life. The object of purchase was a 2008 "used" 5th wheel, with the washer & drier. But apparently the private seller took a big hit on the "drive it off the lot" price discount, so that was good for the pocket book. Hopefully transportation won't be a major issue, since there is no vehicle in their family with that kind of capacity. The plan is to be semi-permanent & I guess just pay someone to haul it to storage when having to be out of the area for work. Fortunately it's the Southwest, where the nasty is the heat instead of the cold. The pictures I saw were beautiful, and I can see why you want the slides. But I will pass on your message about being careful, and your book recommendation. Thanks for the input. I know some people with "campers" but no one who lives in them, so I really appreciate your input, in spite of my friend's quick actions. This was a new area for all of us.
