Hi Everyone! Iím finally getting a spare moment to post after a very busy and hectic couple of weeks. We got back into California on Wednesday, September 3rd, and I canít believe much has been happening since our arrival. Just one thing after another getting settled into our new surroundings, reuniting with family, maintenance on our truck, etc. On Friday we moved our RV to our new ďhomeĒ for the next 6 months. We are staying in a Regional Park in the area where we are volunteering as Park Hosts. Our living arrangements are really nice. We have a very large concrete pad to park our RV and truck on; a storage shed; a huge propane tank; bottled water delivered every two weeks; electricity; telephone. We are inside a very large fenced in area with lots of grass and trees. We donít even have to mow the lawn Ė someone comes out every couple of weeks and takes care of all the yard work. For this, all we have to do is open a gate in the morning, close it at night, and be the eyes and ears for the park. Basically, the only ones coming here are members of an archery club, horseshoes club, and remote control airplane club. There is no camping on site or day use fees, so we donít have to deal with the public much at all. We are the only ones living out here, and since we are out on a rural road, it is pretty quite. We are able to have our mail delivered directly to us on-site, which is a bonus! No general delivery pick-ups at the post office!! There are some drawbacks, though. Our cell reception is almost non-existent. Every call is broken up, and eventually dropped, lasting no more than 3-5 minutes (if that). The good news is we are getting a land line installed next week. Also, our satellite TV isnít working right yet, but that should be handled by tomorrow. But even though we seem to be in a ďdead zoneĒ, for some odd reason our Verizon air card is working really well so Internet hasnít been a problem. Waiting for the arrival of my new grandson, due on the 24th of this month, can hardly wait! :)

Becky
