Subject: best vegan hair dye for gray

Hello Elders!
I am not an Elder, although my hair is looking that way! However, Jo suggested that I post my question here. I am looking for a good vegan hair dye that covers gray. I am open to semi or permanent color. I would like to let it go gray once it is closer to totally gray. Until then I would like to color it. My hair is dark brown and very long. What do you all suggest? I saw a henna that is formulated to cover gray and thought that sounded promising. Has anyone tried it? Thanks!
