Hi Jo - I still can't respond directly to a post, but am able to start new ones, so I am answering your question about our travel plans in a new post.

We will be in Anchorage until July 27, then we will spend the next three weeks visiting other areas of Alaska we haven't seen yet. Towards the end of August we will start heading back to California, as my daughter is having a baby in September and we want to be there for that. We will probably be in Sacramento for at least three months.

We will finally get a little summer once we get to Sacramento, as September and October are really warm and beautiful months in that part of the state! :)
