hi guys!
i am 27 & have been c&sing since i was 15. i have never been
overweight, but have carried around about 10 extra pounds. i was
desperate this time last year to stop the madness. iwas spending
hours and hours c&sing tons of food. whole cakes, whole pizzas,
dozens of cookies... it had really reached an all-time record.
so last december, i read about a book called Intuitive Eating. i
decided to read it. i have always eaten a healthy diet & exercised
every day, but c&sd tons of junk that was forbidden.
the book seems kind of crazy at first b/c it gets rid of all forbidden
foods & has you eat what you truly want when you are hungry.
i have been on this no-diet plan for a year now. i lost the annoying
ten pounds over the course of about 4 months. i am no longer
obsessed with food. i c&s maybe one small thing a day... old habits
die hard, i guess. but i no longer want to do it all the time.
i eat everything now! it's amazing. the book says that once you
let yourself eat anything you want, it takes the power away from
the "evil" foods & knowing that you can have anything you want
makes those foods less desirable b/c they are no longer off-limits.
i eat healthfully the majority of the time b/c that's really what i
want these days. but i have a cheeseburger when i want one. and i
had a dairy queen blizzard the other day for the first time in at
least 10 years.
i am probably doing a lousy job of explaining this, but you can
look up the book & see if it sounds good to you. i know not
everything works for everyone, but this has really helped me at a
time when i was so desperate for something to be different.
