Help! I had estrogen-dependent breast cancer several years ago. I am doing fine, but I am really confused about foods to avoid. I have read many times that I shouldn't eat large amounts of estrogenic foods. I avoid soy products, but I keep finding out about more and more estrogenic foods--I found a list that included most legumes, berries, citrus fruits, grapes, apples, cherries, plums, and pomegranates. It also included potatoes, carrots, peas, peppers, and yams. These are all foods I've been eating while trying to get enough protein and vitamins on my vegan diet. I don't know how much estrogen is in each of these foods, so I don't know what to avoid. This is an issue that affects tens of thousands of women! Has anyone else researched this or found any information?
