I am also curious about others experience with RA and a raw diet. My father has chronic RA and i recently put him on the Raw regan 80/10/10 diet. he folllowed this strictly for 3 weeks and felt more energetic and had a shift in attitude and outlook about his disease. He has now returned to eating cooked and this is what he had to say about it: in my situation i did not get any respite from my arthritis and could not build any muscle mass, i was very very thin and not prepared to be like that. I have consumed a lot of standard food and am gaining weight. Psych wise i am so happy to have redily consumable energy source in the kitchen without the challenges of getting and preparing that type of food only. I am happy to have extra protien and fat stores in my body and feel that this has not affected my arthritis in any way so far. I am taking the need for more salads and no coffee beer and soft drinks forward. Obviously 3 weeks is abosolutely nothing in the scheme of things for someone to try and come back from such a serious disease and i would not expect he would have immediate results - but being prepared to stick it out and potentially get worse to get better in the long run would have been a nice goal to at least experiment with. If anyone else has expereince or thoughts on this?
