I also have issues with low iron. During my last pregnancy my iron came back a little too low during my last trimester. I was able to get it back up to normal by eating lots of spinach, legumes (especially split peas) and soaked pumpkin seeds. I read in many books that pumpkin seeds are iron rich. I also found an 100% herbal IRON supplement that I took for the last few weeks of my pregnancy. One more thing...I found this Blood Builder Smoothie recipe (I believe it's a Brendan Brazier recipe): 1 banana 1 orange 2 cups cold water 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds 1 tbsp ground flaxseed 1 tbsp hemp protein (I just used raw hemp seeds) 1 tbsp agave nectar 1 tbsp hemp oil 1/4 tsp cloves (this makes 2 large servings Good Luck!
