Getting enough high quality fruit year round can be impossible for some. Fuhrman's program is more realistic, anyone can do it anywhere in the US, and it might be a healthier diet. You get more zinc from beans and more fat soluble vitamins and fatty acids from the higher fat from raw nuts/seeds and avo. I have done Grahams 811 diet over long periods. I feel healthier with Fuhrman's Eat to Live. It's certainly a lot less stressful now that I don't have to worry about having enough fruit around the house. Sure, I still have 10-12 bananas for lunch. But now I don't have to stress over not having enough ripe mangos, or whatever fruit, for dinner. I can just have beans. And not all cooking is the same. Actually bean cooking, with water and at low crock pot temperature, is a very safe form of cooking.. I also believe our bodies are expecting to get some nutrients from cooked food. Fuhrman's diet also has the HUGE advantage in the winter because you can consume hot soups. Fuhrman's anti-cancer soup is simple tremendous. Fuhrman's diet is so good I do not need to worry about going 811 anymore. And I was once considering a move to Hawaii just to make the 811 lifestyle easier. I don't need to do that anymore now that I have found Fuhrman.
