Thanks for the reply, the encouragement and the congrats on the baby, Laura! To be clear, there isn't anything in between that I'm eating instead. I usually have fruit for breakfast or a bowl (1/2-1 cup) of plain steel-cut oats with sliced fruit on top, a 1 lb salad of spinach or Romaine with broccoli, carrots, tomatoes mushrooms and black beans on top with 2 TBSP 40 cal. dressing. Or I will make the beans and port. mushroom out of Dr. Furhman's book and use that as a dressing on the spinach or Romaine instead. Or sometimes I'll have guacamole as a dressing. Then more fruit for dessert. For dinner, it's the same as above, or a lb. of steamed or roasted broccoli and mushrooms or corn and black bean salsa or a lb, of fresh sauteed green beans and mushrooms, with fruit for dessert. That's it. Sometimes I'll put a handful of sliced raw almonds on my salad or I'll eat a quick TBSP of peanut butter (literally just ground unsalted peanuts from Whole Foods that I grind myself) on a half of a whole wheat pita pocket. But that's not every day. Maybe I'm eating too much fruit? I know that's where the calories are, but I have an intense sweet tooth and the unlimited fruit is what has truly kept me on this diet. Can you spot any issues with what I've mentioned that would keep me from losing weight? I want to be one of the people saying that it just melted off and I looked TOO thin!
